Kids Day Camp - Various Days Available (9AM-2PM)
Description
Your children will enjoy 5 hours (9am-2pm) at Cartermere Farms learning about chickens, livestock and vegetables, with a focus on organic farming and sustainability. This is recommended for kids K-5th grade. The following events will take place:
-planting of a seed to take home
-feeding sheep/cows
-petting goats
-feeding chickens/collecting eggs
-crafting a healthy fun afternoon snack
-sack lunch by the lake (each participant is responsible for their own lunch)
-outdoor games and races
We will share a lot of information on how their food is produced and why its important to know where your food comes from. All while enjoying some fun outdoor activities with animals.
Please wear close-toed weather appropriate shoes and long pants (if preferred). We also encourage participants to bring a reusable water bottle, and we will provide water to refill.
